Alexandra Burke

On Saturday the 23rd August 2008 19 year old Alexandra Burke from London re visited the X factor. Alexandra is no stranger to The X Factor as she took part in the competition three years ago and managed to get into the final 7 in Louis category. But Louis sent her home saying “I just felt that I was not seeing the real Alexandra and that there was something missing.” This left Alexandra feeling that everything in her life had collapsed. She was devastated that she missed out in the live final, loosing her dreams to 2005 winner Shane Ward.

3 years down the line Alexandra Burke finally found strength and confidence to re audition in 2008 in front of our four judges Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue. Alexandra was more nervous this audition than what she was 3 years ago.Alexandra could only hope that the Judges would see the change and believe in her again.
As Alexandra walked in Louis face lighted up and he gave her a friendly “Hello” With Simon adding “we know you right.

Alexandra performed a “world class” performance of Whitney Huston’s song “saving all my love for you” During the performance the Judges faces were un describable with Cheryl looking at Louis and mouthing “WOW” At the end of her performance Louis was allowed the first say given to him by Simon where he said: “I think you were amazing, absolutely amazing Alexandra. In every sense I think you were world Class, look at her she is like a diva now, she is fantastic!” This bought both Alexandra and Cheryl to tears, With Cheryl adding “I was blown away.” Danni thought she was Amazing. Then Simon finished off by saying “I think Louis made one of the most stupid decisions” he said she had a great personality, and he felt that they had not seen the best of her yet.

Alexandra really did give the judges what they were looking for with thumbs up and 100% yes from all the judges. She was Danni’s Favourite and Simon said “I love her”
